Ally Stone: Leadership and Company Culture Consultant

Ally Stone

For the past 15 years Ally has played an integral role in building the Original Joe’s restaurant brand and team culture development in Northern Alberta. As the company grew from one location to 15, she became acutely aware that there was a pressing need for leaders who deeply care for their team members. From her extensive experience in the service industry, Ally realized that a better path to leadership and development was possible than what was being implemented in the many organizations with which she interacted.

The hospitality industry has long been known for its grueling hours, low pay, unfair labor practices, and high turnover, and Ally set out to change it. Ally’s simple purpose to Take Care of People became the filter through which all decisions would pass, and it transformed the group of 15 restaurants she was leading.

The restaurants Ally is partnered with today boast the lowest team turnover rates in the Northern Alberta market. She is a coach, mentor and guide to many of today’s young leaders in Edmonton. Taking Care Of People became much bigger than looking after the restaurant teams and guests as it has become clear that her purpose in life is to share her message and experiences with organizations that want to drive robust company culture and create meaningful experiences in the workplace.

Ally brings a unique perspective to The Other Everest retreat as she shares her real-life experiences with participants and creates an opportunity for connection and collaboration.
